I don’t believe much in GOD… GOD has always been a subjective word and an abstract power for me. A power which I believe does exist but which we cannot alter or pacify through prayers , faith or religious virtues. God might the ultimate power but he doesn’t demand such rituals and prayers from we humans.
For me, God is not any person , thing or some entity which can make things happen or who will get impressed by our prayers one fine morning and grant us our wishes. GOD is the power of Faith.... the faith in positive energy. It’s the belief in oneself of what is sought and what is achieved. Every person has a God in oneself. One has to just recognize him, follow him and keep faith in him, that he will make happen whatever is sought. Who is this He ??? He’s no super power or a Super Hero. Hes the power inside us that can make anything desired happen. Just praying in front of an idol saying, “GOD please pass me with good marks “: wont do us any good unless we ourselves study hard and desire to pass with good marks. And to keep this faith burning within us we have created the name called GOD which I believe is nothing but an up beating affirmativeness within us. How many times we thank our own selves when we actually get good marks in exam? Why is it always “ Thank God !! I scored distinction and not “Thank MYSELF I scored distinction ??” I believe we have to recognize our own self first and thank ourselves too for making things happen the way we want.
God concept cannot be personified. Its an Energy , Positiveness, an imaginary power that surrounds us. God doesn’t have any face, hands, or legs or cannot be captured in to a sketch, portrait, painting or sculpture. Its something deep within our own heart…and our own grey matter, our aspirations, our passion. He does not know of any language or religion. He cannot be named as Lord jesus, Lord Ganesh or the Allah or the Rab… We wont find him in temples mosques or a church or any enclosed edifice, mural or the open even.. He resides within us and where ever we go he follows. He is inside every other thing that we know and every good deed that we do. Just serving idols through pooja and prayers or fastings wont do us any good if we fail to serve humanity and mankind. Love people and you Love god. And in turn God will love you too…
When we say we want something in life, this want of ours is our desire, which we keep alive by an act of praying to God, and keep this positive flame burning within us. At the end whatever happens is never our good or bad or luck but the fruit of own efforts and doings. So if anything is not going our own way there’s no point in blaming god saying “ GOD is not with me “ The blame should rather go on ones own self first.
I’ am not writing this coz ‘am against GOD but I cannot take a blind leap in the dark to believe him. I can say I am more of an agnostic rather than an atheist. There can be no scientific evidence whether God exists or not and it will always be an enigma. Still miracles will keep happening and worships will continue coz people like to take that safe step in a well lit room where majority of people are already standing … Surely all this will be just because there exists a super power in nature and the entire universe that can make any wonder of the world happen. The common people like to call it as GOD and GOD for me is nothing but the "GLORY OF DESIRE" !!
